6 Benefits of Physical Activity in Open Space

You may be used to doing physical activity indoors such as treadmills and yoga. But occasionally try to do it in an open space or parks. Doing physical exercise or sport in green space there are many benefits.

Improves mood 

Physical activity or exercise in the open space could make your mood better. A study in 2012 reported the Telegraph states that spend time in the 50 percent open space makes people happier than those who spend time in the gym.

Previous studies have even suggested that exercise in the open space can cope with tension, confusion, anger and depression, when compared with the activity in the room. The BBC reported a study in 2010 also showed that just five minutes of exercise in green space can boost mood for the better and create confidence.

Improves concentrations 

A study from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign found that children with Attention Deficit Hiperactive Disorder (ADHD) is able to concentrate better after a 20-minute walk in the park.
"We do not know what kind of garden, the greenery and certainly there are few buildings. Thing that seems to improve attention," said Frances E Kuo, Director of the University's Landscape and Human Health Laboratory.

Make exercise routine 

The Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans recommend adults to doing cardio for two hours and 30 minutes every week. After that, plus two or more sessions for weight training.
However, sometimes the job makes you do not have time to exercise. 2011 survey stated that they were doing physical exercise or outdoor sports could be more consistent to exercise regularly than those who do it in the gym.

Keeping the weight remains stable 

A 2008 study found that weight children who spend more time outdoors, 27-41 percent of body weight is more stable than in children who spend more time indoors.
Many activities can be done if it is in the green open spaces with fresh air and sunshine, rather than just in a room containing a chair or table.

Increase energy 

Fresh air outdoors can make you lose your lethargy. A study of the University of Rochester in 2009 as reported by The Telegraph, found that just 20 minutes outdoors can make us feel like after drinking a cup of coffee.

"Often when feeling power has drained away, we drank a cup of coffee. However, physical exercise or exercise outdoors this is a better way to get the energy that is when we are at one with nature," says psychologist, Richard M Ryan, Ph. D.

Lack of vitamin D can lead a person to be overweight. To get a free vitamin D, exercising in the room was open. Sport and physical activity in the open can help your body vitamin D obtained from sun exposure.
